We have rated the service department as an 8 but would also like to express our dissatisfaction as noted below with a complaint. We are very disappointed with a service request we had. We took our 2016 GMC Yukon Denali in for service on 7/3/19 because the drivers side running board was not retracting but the light was working and the running board was repaired. However, we did not notice the light was not working until later. Our daughter was diagnosed with cancer and we have been concentrating on her. We took our Denali in 9/16/20 for an oil change and for the running board light to be checked. It was an electrical issue and we had to pay for the repair, our extended warranty (Ally Auto-Major Guard) did not cover it as well, not sure why as the warranty information does say electrical. We feel we should not have to pay the $130.00 light repair since it was not working after the 7/13/19 repair. We realize it took us a while to get it in for repair BUT our daughter and her treatments were more important to us. We normally do not have any issues with the service department, they have been great. We just want our position noted and hope something will be done about it. Thank you.
